Haiku 103

on the red rose

Haiku is a Japanese form of poetry and you know that the Japs like everything small ! It is easy to say a lot in long drawn sentences but a challenge to condense it to a few.
Haiku is a set of 2 images formed by words. They make sense to the reader according to his/her depth of understanding of life. More creative your imagination, more vivid your flow of thought in the direction of 'a dawn in understanding'.

Welcome to my blog, Arvind!
I am sorry my haiku did nothing for you...it falls flat for many...its not that you lack emotions, it could be that some other things click for you...anyway, thanks for visiting...:)

Lovely! Simple yet hard hitting. Though I kinda wish it was a little longer. Still, two thumbs up! :)

ooh....i'm dumb enough to not understand it.... :)

Haiku's must be really difficult....i mean for the readers too.....and the writer ....obviously.....trying to make as simple so that a lame man like me can understand it.....

:)

hitesh...I like your note about it being difficult on the reader!...LOL hope I am not torturing you with my haiku...:(

no torture..

this reminded me of one instance....we were in school...and we were sitting in a group....when on demand....one of the girl sang for us......because she was a punjabi she sang a folk punjabi song which totally went above our head....well atleast mine's....

then at the end she asked...."how was it??"

i told her....."It was beautiful....i really liked it.....but i would have liked it way much more...if i could understand it :) "

same is thing here.... :)
