A drop of love into a waiting heart
And you see the flower blossom,
Opening into the loving world
As if born with brand new eyes,
Seeing a world quite altered,
From the dark insides of a bud.
A drop of hate into the waiting heart
And you see the flower droop and die,
Closing itself from the onslaught
Cringing away from the source,
And may never open ever again
Even if doused over with love.
So spread the love you find in your heart
And be assured it will find a waiting heart,
That can bloom like the flower once again
Healing itself and many another,
Spread not hate, that shrivels the heart
That makes it yearn for a drop of love.
