With what ease
Lies are spoken
And stories woven
In these strange times
Of dog eat dog!
No conscience pricks
As lies denied
Blatant ones
That many ears have heard!
Trampling on feelings
Walking right through,
Flippant fling of ‘sorry’
If that really helps!
Disrespect rules
In laws and in bonds,
Loopholes invented
In bends in hairpins!
Nature and nation
Kith and kin
None stand the onslaught
Of the marching machines!
Dressed to kill
In designer garb
Soaked in the sweat-tears
Of some unfortunate ones!
This is the reality
Of today’s world,
Convenience and profit
The two buzz words!
