Is a woman ever safe?

Photobucket
Is a woman ever safe?

History is HIS story
About wars fought by him.

Women were and are objects
Used to win clever wars.

Trapped, raped and impregnated
Enslaved, sold and murdered

She is caught in the crossfire
Abused to subdue the enemy

Means to break the collective will
To bend the courageous back.

Is today any different?
Is a woman ever safe?

De-humanized, available for torture
Society has a ready animal of slaughter

She is easy to curb and control
Her sexuality the easiest to attack

Forced to live behind a veil
Within walls that witness the shame

Distress and hope interwoven tight
Bright lights like distant stars of dreams

For those who dare to meet life head on
The jealous are just around the corner

Will she forever be seen as a womb
To be occupied and vandalized?

Is a woman ever safe?

Just BRILLIANT! A wonderful expression you have, Nalini!

"Will she forever be seen as a womb
To be occupied and vandalized?"....Too profound!

reading ur post once again - brings these to my mind.

statement : Women are the weaker sex
then logically they are more unsafe. (conclusion)

So the question is basically answered by the statement.

Then we work towards - how to make women stronger? (if they are willing to be)

option 1- become stronger innately
option 2- align with stronger ppl

And finally i've become a great intellectual having discussed this topic so thoroughly and that was my original intention :))

My comments were not intented to drive up ur fury but to reflect the futility of crying.

A flower is a flower. It is loved and respected and appreciated. But flower is trampled upon too by the insensitive & brutal man. Flowers who get trampled upon probably pay the price for the colective and individual beauty of all the flowers.

The world needs to progress much further for it to see a significant reduction in those men (animalistic?)who see only lust (for money, sex..etc etc) and are blind to beauty or sophistication.

Till that time we keep crying, complaining and working towards it

hope we are working towards it, Anil...maybe I was hasty in responding...foot in the mouth stuff...smiling at you
